The tatter of growing wisdom (fad) SS26”

The concept behind this look started with the seats in the underground. I was fascinated by the way that the seat starts to fade in its pattern the more it is sat on by passengers. I translated this occurrence through age. When we are born we have no wrinkles, no scars, and no memories. Throughout time we age as this chair does. We keep a strong pattern in the things we are that never change, and we lose our pattern in areas of change. Through grief, through memories, through happiness, and through life we change. Nevertheless there are something’s that never leave us.

could it be sepsis? (fad) SS26”

Could it be sepsis? this project was very close to home for me. In February, right before this project, I was hospitalized with sepsis. The whole experience was very traumatic and left me with a lifetime of health monitoring. Although it may have been tough, I am extremely grateful for the experience and my survival. I now see a whole new light on life and how grateful I am for each day that I get to be alive. I used this project to shine a new light on my memories and process throughout my healing journey. It was also extremely important to me that I can now advocate for everyone to be educated and aware of the symptoms. I created the final look to communicate the symptoms I had on the day of my hospitalization, along with the perceptions I got of the other patients and the doctors and nurses there to help us. This project means a lot to me because it really is a part of me and I take pride in its vulnerability.
